About

A photo of Anya

Hi, I'm Anya! Here's my story:Since early childhood, I've always been interested in cartoons and drawing. I spent years practicing my drawing skills until I discovered the concept of a career in television animation, and my passion ignited! Since then, I have been dedicated to the idea and gone on to pursue a college education in the subject. I've received a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree in Traditional Animation with a minor in Illustration at Columbia College Chicago.Over the course of my career, I have created a multitude of work, including a 15 minute animated pilot episode for my original story Lake Effect! I was fully responsible for the production from start to finish, and spent over two years working on the solo film. More info can be found in the “Lake Effect” tab above.Originally from a suburb of Cleveland, Ohio, I currently reside in Chicago, IL.While pursuing my career, I am dedicated to growing my portfolio. I specialize in 2D character rigging, prop design, and clean-up animation, but I have experience with every aspect of the production process. On the side, I also enjoy selling my art at conventions such as "Anime Magic!", "Indiana Comic Con", "InkFest", "C3 Expo", and "Animate! Columbus", as well as on my Etsy page. With my main goal being to share the magic of cartoons, I hope to eventually tell a story that touches people's hearts, and create my own show.
